Im based in Taranaki New Zealand, a region with volcanic mountains and black sand beaches covered in heavy surf This landscape inspires my designs.

My shed! Full of toys which I use to heat, hit and grind, raw materials into pieces of functional art.

My heart and soul goes into every piece I make. While never on purpose often a little blood as well. My blades exhibit some Japanese styling and techniques, tempered with good old kiwi common sense. Profiles that perform well at many tasks.

Wrought iron is a favorite cladding material. I imagine all the things that piece of iron must have seen since it was made at least 150 years ago. Then repurpose the old into new.

Damascus is where my passions are. The beautify history and functionality of this steel fascinates me and drives my creative muse. All my knives are made with my own Damascus. Typically 1084/15N20, although I branch out into recycled steels from time to time utilizing other peoples junk such as worn saw blades and bearings.
